Photoshop!

A couple of posts ago I uploaded pictures of my beautiful friend Hannah who was modelling the pale face and bright make up look, I also took similar pictures with my friend Sophie (admittedly my make up skills were not as good as Hannah's haha). Today I went back to school and began to Photoshop these pictures to make them look air bushed and work towards the style of Rankin. Below are the before and after photographs!

                                             Before                                                   After

                                             Before                                                      After

                                            Before                                                     After

                                              Before                                                     After

With each picture I made changes to the eyebrow shapes and colours, I brightened the photographs in order to make the skin as pale as possible and then saturated the photograhs to bring out the bright make up. I also used the clone tool to create flawless skin!

London!

London is so well known for its amazing scenery's and iconic buildings and transports, so I thought I should take a trip into all the hustle and bustle of the city and get a few iconic snaps for my photography portfolio. Luckily the weather was absolutely gorgeous, the sun was shining and everything looked so bright and ideal for the perfect picture. Here are a few of my best shots

The National Gallery
The London Eye
Big Ben and the London Eye
Red London Double Decker Bus on a London Road
Beautiful Lake with the London Eye in the background

I hope you like the pictures!

Make Up!

For my AS photography coursework I decided to use Rankin as inspiration for one of my shoots. I loved the concept of having a really pale face with bright and eyes and lips as it creates such contrast and really allows certain areas of the face to stand out wonderfully. I used my beautiful friend Hannah as my model and she looks absolutely stunning, pulling off this look gorgeously! Here are some of my photographs (these haven't been altered on Photoshop yet!)

 I hope you like them!

Ooh Na Na ... Whats her Name?

So this October 5th I was lucky enough to get tickets to go and see Rihanna's first Loud Tour Show in London's 02 arena. I have been buzzing, since getting the tickets at Christmas, waiting for the day I get to see my idol on stage singing my most favourite tunes! I have been a major fan of Rihanna since I was a little bubba you see!

I was standing on the platform waiting for the train from Waterloo, which will take me directly to North Greenwich where the 02 arena is. Whilst standing on the platform my mum turned round to me and went 'Tamara, that women looks like a splitting image of Rihanna!' After telling myself that it couldn't be her, it couldn't be the Rihanna who I watch on television most days of my life we will keep that one between us, yes I am Rihanna's number one fan, therefore could be classified as her number one stalker as well haha! As the train arrived I saw the 'Rihanna look alike' get onto the front carriage, so i sneakily followed her in. I then found myself cramped up against eight massively built men in black shirts, face squished into their backs, trying to breath like a helpless fish.

I squidged my way past these massive 20stone men and instantly found myself face to face with the one and only Rihanna, my heart skipped a beat and my mouth completely dropped to the floor! I kept thinking to myself oh.my.god. this can't be real!

You won't believe it, but this is a picture I took with my little old camera of Rihanna!

I was able to chat to Rihanna and being the massive fan I am, I was one of the first next to her with my camera right in her face trying to get snaps of us together. And yes, even though it may be the most disgusting picture of life of me, I actually got a picture with her! I literally thought I would never see the day!

Yes! Yes! I honestly did get a picture with her! I may look completely unattractive, but Rihanna looks beautiful as always!

As you can imagine, ever since this day I have never stopped talking about the day I met Rihanna! And yes it most probably is getting on all my friends nerves hearing the same story over and over again and little old me getting more and more excited every time I talk about it, but I literally love life now that I have had the chance to meet the one woman who honestly I never thought I would meet. After the most amazing tube journey of my life I had such an amazing time at Rihanna's concert with my sister! And yes my sister was slightly on the jealous side of life as you can imagine, she is a major fan as well and bless her, got very excited about seeing a glimpse of Rihanna coming up the escalators, little did she know until I got there that I had actually met her ;)

Funny Faceeesss :)

Cheeeeesseeee!
02 Arennaaa!
Overall, the concert and whole night was absolutely A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! Definitely a night that I will never forget for a while to come!

Hair Moose

Hair Moose

My hair is naturally curly but after I wash it, the battle begins with the frizz frenzy! For the last couple of years I have resorted to straightening my hair to tackle this hair nightmare and have never shown off the natural curly hair that I posess.

I looked high and low for some sort of product that could tackle this problem and allow me to have curly tamed hair. I wanted a product that would relieve me of the panic when as soon as the wind blew and pooof there went my hair!

I searched high and low and finally found the perfect product

Toni & Guy Boost-it Moose 250ml - £5.61

I bought this bottle of Toni&Guy moose from Boots and it has worked wonders ever since, it has never let me down. It gives me the tamed curls I have been longing to show off!

Prom!

How shall I have my hair for prom?
Thats the question i consantly find myself asking nowadays with prom only 1 month away...eek!
Its so hard to think of a style which is unique but at the same time elegant and glamorous!
I have been doing a little testing to see what styles are a thumbs up and which are a big no no!

Test no. 1: Curlss

To create long lasting, elegant, red carpet curls without damaging my hair using heat I used these long squidgey, elastic curling sticks (have no clue what their name is haha):

The yellow sticks create tight small curls, the blue creates a more wider curl and the pink create much larger natural curls

I moistened each curling stick with a slither of water (not too much, just enough to make the surface moist) and collected a small group of hair and starting from the ends of my hair rolled my hair around the stick until it reached my roots. I then tisted the ends of the curling stick together and began on the next piece of hair.

It is much easier then it sounds, dont panic!

Your hair should look something like this (absolutely stunning look haha!)

It is recommended that you leave these in for as long as possible. The longer they are in, the better!
I found that they pulled on my hair quite a lot, as my hair is pretty thin, so I took them out after 2 and 1/2 hours.

ET VOILA!

red carpet curls, Tamara style :p
